American Public Television Announces National Distribution of BBC News Programming Beginning September 1

Four weekday feeds will be made available via APT Exchange

BOSTON, MA (July 6, 2023) – American Public Television (APT), the leading syndicator of content to U.S. public TV stations nationwide, announces that BBC News programming, a staple of public television stations' weekday schedules for decades, is expected to transition to national distribution via APT Exchange beginning September 1. APT is proud to partner with WETA and the BBC to provide trusted news and public affairs content to the system.

BBC News is delivered in partnership with WETA and BBC News, and includes four feeds each weekday: two BBC News feeds, a BBC News America feed, and a BBC News: The Context feed, coming via HD64 sIX terrestrial linear feed. Details and materials for stations regarding a seamless content transition will be forthcoming from APT and WETA.
